CSN Stores – Cookware.com (review)

by Jackie on July 24, 2010

Since we’re moving in a few short months, I’ve decided it’s time to start getting ready for our new house. Jeff has started packing, while I browse for new stuff we’ll need. We currently live in a small place, so there is a lot we will need since we will have such a big kitchen, dining room, living room and an extra bedroom! There is a lot of stuff we need, so that made it extra difficult to decide what to get when CSN Stores contacted me for a review. CSN Stores is composed of 200+ individual stores that carry certain products, such as pet products, lights, furniture, and much much more.

I decided on Cookware.com for my review since I knew one of my favorite rooms in the house would be the kitchen, and the one thing we lack right now is pots and pans. Seriously, I had 1 frying pan and 1 saucepan, that’s it. That is, until I decided to review the Trimmer Gourmet Chef 12 Piece Cookware Set with Blue Bakelite Handles and Knobs. I got 1 more frying pan, 4 stock pots and 1 saucepan, all with lids (something my other pans didn’t have lol) Here are all the features and measurements of the pans:

12 Piece cookware set includes:

  • One 1.5 quarts saucepan with lid
  • One 1.5 quarts stock pot with lid
  • One 2 quarts stock pot with lid
  • One 3 quarts stock pot with lid
  • One 6.5 quarts stock pot with lid
  • One frying pan with lid

Features:

  • 12 Piece cookware set
  • Gourmet Chef collection
  • Clear glass lid
  • Blue bakelite handles
  • Knobs with gold plated fittings
  • Belly shape with rolled step edge
  • Both sides mirror polished
  • 0.016″ Body
  • 0.059″ Aluminum capsulated base
  • Low to medium heat is recommended
  • Easy to clean
  • Manufacturer provides one year warranty

Jeff has said early on, that he wanted the kitchen to be done in blue, so the lids and handles being blue were perfect.

These pans do NOT have a nonstick coating, which is something I’m having a tough time getting used to. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve been using the frying pan and got something stuck and burnt on there. The most recently last night as I was frying up potatoes even with oil in the pan. I’ll be the first to admit…I’m not a very good cook, I try, and I’m working on it. I think once I have a bigger kitchen I will cook more and get my skills ;) .

The price for all these pans and lids? $44.99, yep, that’s it! I think for the frying pan I have had for awhile, I paid $20 just for it! You can’t beat $45 for 6 pans!

Cookware.com has a lot more than just pots and pans, there is tableware, small appliances, cutlery and just about anything you need for a kitchen! Everything is good prices and you can shop convenient from home!

Nice set of pans, a blue kitchen sounds nice, I just painted my kitchen last summer with a dark blue on bottom and pale on the top half of the wall.

I’d so want a non-stick surface, though I have some expensive pans that are supposedly non-stick, the green pans as they are called, and they still stick somewhat. I agree with using a little oil and turning down the heat. Things take longer to cook, but don’t stick as much.

Definitely would be a great gift for anyone graduating and heading out of the nest for the first time too! You’ll get your cooking skills, I have faith in ya ;)

Use a little oil to help coast the pan, and lower heat.

Sounds like a great deal.
