Having a kid with a birthday in the winter isn’t that great, I love to have parties outside and it’s not possible when it’s a good chance there is snow on the ground. We did bowling, twice…then we drew a blank. But it was all okay when we found out about Pump It Up, an indoor inflatable party place! We had Jeffery’s latest birthday there, he had a blast, but Jeff’s wallet didn’t lol.
Anyways, Pump It Up has redone their goody bags recently! That is one thing we didn’t get for his party, but I recently got one of the new ones to review. I think I fought with the kids just as much as they did each other, I wanted to try out the new toys but they wouldn’t let me! We only had a problem with 2 of the toys, the thunder sticks were rather difficult to figure out how to blow up, but once they were, I was impressed with how something so simple could make so much noise. Also, the thunder sticks, one of them didn’t hold up too well, and now won’t stay inflated…I can’t say I’m bothered by it, but Jaylin was a little upset. The other toy was the roto launcher, it’s a long twirly stick, 3 disk type things and something else I don’t know how to explain…it didn’t come with instructions, so it took awhile to figure out how it worked, BUT once we figured it out, that was the toy we fought over most! I enjoyed it as much as the kids did, as did Jeff (he’s a kid at heart too) We figured out that you put the funny looking thing on the twirly stick, then put the disks on, you use the thing to push up the disks and they fly…I hope that made sense…I don’t know how to explain it. I do wish it come with directions. These goody bags are promoting physical activity, you have to chase after the disks of the roto launcher and I’m sure parents are going to make the kids go outside to play with the thunder sticks, there is also a disk launcher (or a inflatable ball…depending on location) and also a box of sidewalk chalk (we have yet to open that…we don’t have a sidewalk or anywhere for them to use it yet) that includes 3 large pieces of chalk.
We all enjoyed the new Pump It Up Goody Bag we received, and have been having fun creating games about who can make a disk fly further, who can be the most creative about launching the disks and who can run and pick up the disks fastest (that is one of my favorites…sit back and watch the kids run after disks lol)

Keep them on a routine, certain we take a walk. Keep them busy with bikes on the driveway and cheer them on when they make it down the driveway and back. Limit amount of time on video games!
