Welcome to our Holiday Palooza! Melissa and I have some wonderful gift ideas to share with you this holiday season. Make sure you visit Melissa at Outnumbered 3 to 1 daily to see what she has in store for you too. We will be featuring the same giveaways on each blog some of the days, so that’s two chances for you to win!
Jeffery is taking after Jeff more and more, lately it’s been drawing. Last night he showed us that he had drawn a Wii remote from looking at ours and he did a pretty good job. He’s always asking for paper and a pen/pencil. So, this Christmas he is getting 2 books from Picture It Picture Books.
The one and only book series that children illustrate themselves. We write the stories and leave out the illustrations, giving children a chance to set their imaginations free. Our books focus on the environment, social responsibility, positive human interaction and creativity.
The first book we got is “My Alphabet” which isn’t like any other alphabet book I’ve ever seen. The page reads “A is for ……..” and your child fills in the word (or you can help) and then draws a picture to go with it!
Tired of “A is for apple”? Finally, an alphabet book waiting to be filled with your child’s imagination. Children personalize their very own alphabet books with their favourite things, family names or friends they adore. “A” is for ANYTHING you can think of!
We also got “The Moon Story” which is a little more detailed, giving the child’s mind plenty of room to expand and make the book their own!
When timid Kyle takes a rocket ship to the moon, he has the adventure of a lifetime, but it’s only when he returns to Earth that the real fun begins. A child’s imagination is as vast as the galaxy. What better way to explore it than in this book?
Picture It Picture Books are $7.99 and are worth it, your child will illustrate these books and then you can pull them out in the future and show them how creative they were when they were smaller.
Feel free to check out Picture It Picture Books on Twitter and Facebook.

My 13 yr. old son just loves to draw/doodle…he’s into making comics and animation…he’d like to create his work and apply it to video games…I like to grab these kinds of books for him to help hone his skills…I’m glad my kids like to use their creativity and books like these certainly help~!!
This is such a great idea. What a great way to get the creative juices flowing.
Thank You for the review! These are great stocking stuffers, I like them better then a coloring book!
These look neat I entered to win one *fingerscrossed*
These are really neat! I wish these were around when my kids were little, but I’ll keep them in mind for gifts this year…
