I’ve been crocheting for a few years now, I started with hats and booties then worked my way into baby clothing. Patterns for girls are so easy to find, there are all kinds of cute dress patterns out there but not so many boy patterns. I was excited when I received Crochet for Baby All Year by Tammy Hildebrand because it’s filled with baby clothing for girls AND boys!
In Crochet for Baby All Year there are different patterns for each month that coordinates with that season. Like January is themed as New Beginnings and has patterns for 2 christening gowns, June has two swimsuits…one for a boy and one for a girl along with matching hats and sandals. One of my favorite months in this book is September with the football theme. A cute jersey, football hat and football booties are super adorable for a boy and I plan to make a set for Jamison. It also has me wishing I knew of a baby girl because the little cheerleader outfit with headband is super adorable!
Each pattern has adorable pictures of babies in the clothing and well written directions as well as a diagram to show you the sizes (3 months, 6 months, 9 months, 12 months and sometimes 18 months). There is also a skill level graphic to show you the difficulty of the project.
