When shopping for baby products you always run across the big name products and store brand products of the same thing. The price is usually significantly lower for the store brand. The problem is, are those products cheaper because they are lower quality or are the big name products more expensive because of the name only. For me, it’s been hit or miss with certain store brands and certain things I make sure I buy big name brand because they are honestly better. I was recently sent a package of Walgreens’ Well Beginnings baby care products to try out.
The first thing I knew we had to try was the Well Beginnings diapers. I got a pack of size 4 for Justin, it come with 31 diapers in the pack. I’m always nervous about diapers with him because he has super sensitive skin and breaks out very easily. The only problem I seemed to have was that they aren’t as stretchy as other diapers we normally use. It wasn’t a huge problem, they were just more snug on him. He only wears diapers to bed at nap time and at night so overnight is a big deal and I was scared the diaper would leak…I was impressed when the first morning he woke up and I didn’t have to change his sheets because the diaper didn’t leak at all. I also checked Justin for any sign of a rash and he was fine. We’ve been using the diapers for a few weeks and he hasn’t had any hint of a rash and no leaks either. Well Beginnings diapers come in sizes from Newborn up to 6. The Newborn, 1 and 2 size diapers have a wetness indicator that turns blue when wet. A pack of Well Beginnings size 4 diapers retail for $8.99.
Walgreens’ Well Beginnings baby care line has much more than just diapers, there are wipes. I used the package of Sensitive Wipes on not only Justin but our newborn baby, Jamison, as well and loved them. The package has a pop up lid and makes it easy to open and close with one hand. Retail price for a package of 72 sensitive wipes is $2.39. There is also Well Beginnings baby wash that’s 100% soap and dye free. A bottle of Well Beginnings baby wash retails for $2.99.
